League Closure -
Nemeth - 24th Jan 2005 18:01
|
After a few weeks of discussions I can now formally announce that the league is closed.
To give you some background on the circumstances behind this, I've been after more support with the running of the league since July last year, with a view to passing on responsibilities at the end of Season 3. We have had a couple of serious offers of support from people who meet the requirements, but for various reasons these haven't borne any fruit.
While all this has been ha..... |

COD 1.5 Update -
Nemeth - 21st Dec 2004 09:43
|
Updated Linux binaries for COD 1.5 were released overnight, so we should be good to go with 1.5 on the league servers tonight.
Updating the servers and testing will have to wait till I'm home from work tonight, but with a bit of luck we shouldn't have any problems.
If any teams would prefer to play with 1.4 then please check with your opponents let me know. |

1.4 vs 1.5 Update -
Nemeth - 20th Dec 2004 20:20

With a comment from Icculus that the 1.5 Linux binaries will be released on Wednesday at the latest, it looks more and more likely that we won't have 1.5 in time for any matches this week. With this in mind I'm prepared to offer free reschedules to any team who don't want to play on 1.4 this week.
An alternative would be to allow teams to play on their own 1.5 servers, but that isn't fair on teams who don't have access to one.
If you want to reschedule a match thi..... |

COD 1.5 -
Nemeth - 19th Dec 2004 12:31
|
|
Please note that currently the league is still working with COD 1.4 and PAM 1.05a.
1.5 Linux binaries and some testing are required before we can consider moving to COD 1.5. This may be possible ahead of this weeks fixtures, but is entirely dependent on Activision releasing the 1.5 Linux binaries.
If you've already patched to 1.5 you should set up two separate COD installs:
- Uninstall COD
- Reinstall COD
- Apply the 1.4 patch

Supervisor Vacancy -
Nemeth - 05th Dec 2004 10:08
|
Possibly a bit premature posting this as I'll still be around for a little while yet. But I need to put this in context if the league is to continue into a fourth season, as I'll be stepping down and the end of Season 3.
Running the league takes a lot of time and effort, and after three seasons of the COD league, two seasons of the RTCW league and a bit of EOGC and cod-nation cup I'm ready to throw in the towel. What this all means is that if the league is to continue it needs someone..... |
